Indeed, basic research is the source of the whole scientific system and the general organ of all technical problems, which has been highly recognized by the whole society. The CPC Central Committee and the State Council attach great importance to basic research and issued several opinions on Comprehensively Strengthening basic scientific research and a series of supporting policies in 2018. In recent years, the state has increased investment in basic research. As minister Zhigang mentioned just now, the proportion of basic research in the R & D investment of the whole society has exceeded 6% in 2019. Since the 18th CPC National Congress, the state has strengthened the top-level design and task system deployment of basic research, facing the world's scientific and technological frontier and national strategic needs, closely focusing on the urgent needs of industrial development, people's livelihood improvement and national security. After years of efforts, China's overall level of basic research has been greatly improved, and its international influence has also been greatly improved. In the following aspects:
